Women's Bible Study | Tuesday Evenings | Fall 2024

The Book of Esther is not really a story about a “heroine.” Rather, it is part of the Bible’s larger story about God and his dealings with his people, and with the world. As in everyday life, God’s intervention is everywhere visible in the Book of Esther, even though his presence is concealed. The essential conflict between the two kingdoms-the empire of Ahasuerus and the kingdom of God-plays itself out in the lives of flawed and unexpected individuals, as God delivers his people once again from the threat of extinction.

Tuesday Evening Women's Bible Study will begin September 17 and run through November 19, from 6:00-7:30 PM, in the Church Library. We will be studying Esther and Ruth using the book Esther & Ruth: Reformed Expository Commentary by Iain Duguid. Book cost is $15. Register online at twinoakschurch.org/events or at the Ministry Desk on September 8th and September 15th.
